Terms of Use

Last updated: October 19, 2026

These Terms of Use apply to the Lucent Tutoring ("Lucent," "we," "us," or "our") website. Lucent provides MCAT tutoring and related educational support. These Terms concern use of this website and any website-based information, forms, payment links, service communications, and practice review provided in connection with tutoring.

Educational and Informational Purpose

Content published on this website is provided for educational and informational purposes related to MCAT preparation. Website content, tutoring descriptions, practice tracking examples, score discussions, study plans, resources, and other materials do not constitute medical, legal, financial, admissions, or other professional advice.

No Score Guarantee

Lucent provides tutoring, planning, practice review, and educational support. Lucent does not guarantee any MCAT score, score increase, admissions result, scholarship, interview invitation, acceptance, or other academic or professional outcome. MCAT results depend on many factors, including starting point, preparation history, attendance, practice volume, test conditions, health, official testing policies, and student effort.

Payments, Packages, and Scheduling

Payment is arranged directly with Lucent or, if offered, through Stripe-hosted pages. Session times are arranged directly with Lucent. Your package details, fees, and applicable cancellation, refund, expiration, and rescheduling terms are confirmed separately before purchase. A contact-form submission is a request to discuss tutoring; it does not reserve a session. Additional terms presented by the payment provider may apply to that service.

Student Responsibilities

Students are responsible for attending scheduled sessions, completing assigned work, accurately reporting MCAT practice test information, respecting scheduling and cancellation policies, and participating honestly and respectfully. Lucent may decline, pause, or discontinue tutoring when conduct, nonpayment, repeated missed sessions, or misuse of website features makes continued service inappropriate. Students with a Lucent account should keep access to the Google account they sign in with private and enter only their own practice exam results.

Practice Information and Website Use

Practice results and study information shared with Lucent are used to support tutoring and planning. Please provide accurate information and share only materials you have permission to use. Do not submit unlawful content, interfere with website security, or attempt to access private information belonging to another person.

External Websites and Services

This website may contain links to third-party websites and services, including Cloudflare, Stripe, Resend, Google services, and MCAT-related resources. Third-party websites and services operate under their own terms, policies, and practices. Lucent does not control and does not guarantee the content, accuracy, security, availability, accessibility, or practices of third-party websites and services.

Accuracy and Availability

Lucent aims to provide useful and reasonably current information. However, tutoring availability, pricing, scheduling, links, third-party service availability, MCAT-related information, and website content may change. Lucent does not guarantee that all website content will always be complete, accurate, current, or available. The website, individual pages, links, resources, or features may be modified, replaced, removed, or temporarily unavailable without notice.

Intellectual Property and Third-Party Content

The website may reference names, resources, exams, trademarks, articles, data, and other materials belonging to third parties. Ownership of third-party trademarks, copyrighted materials, and other intellectual property remains with the respective rights holders. Lucent is not affiliated with the Association of American Medical Colleges or any official MCAT administrator unless stated in writing. Users should not upload or submit copyrighted MCAT questions, official exam content, or third-party prep materials unless they have the right to do so.

Changes to These Terms

Lucent may update these Terms as the website, tutoring services, payment systems, practice tracking features, or relevant services change. The current version will be published on this page with its most recent update date. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes use of the website subject to the then-current Terms.
